Mille Ans de Feu
YISHU was born in Jingdezhen — a city that has produced the world’s finest porcelain for over a thousand years. We believe that truly beautiful objects carry the memory of the hands that made them, and that living with such objects transforms the quality of daily life.
Notre Savoir-Faire
Every YISHU piece begins with the finest high-fire kaolin clay, sourced from the hills surrounding Jingdezhen. Each vessel is individually thrown on a traditional foot-powered wheel, trimmed by hand when leather-hard, and fired at 1280–1320°C in single-chamber kilns. This slow, careful process — unchanged in its essentials for centuries — is what gives YISHU porcelain its characteristic translucency, resonance, and warmth.
Nos Glaçures
Our glaze palette draws from Jingdezhen’s deep archive: celadon greens, blanc de chine whites, imperial blues, and the subtle warm tones of wood-ash glazes. Each glaze is mixed in-house, applied by hand, and responds differently to every firing — making each piece genuinely unique. We document and name exceptional glaze results, maintaining a library of over 200 glaze combinations.
Custom & Bespoke
YISHU works with Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels, private collectors, and interior designers to create custom porcelain collections. From a single statement piece to a complete tableware service for 200 covers, we bring the same rigour and care to every commission. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Nos Valeurs
We source responsibly, fire efficiently, and document every piece. We believe craft at this level of quality is inherently sustainable — objects made to last a generation or more are the opposite of disposable. We are committed to fair wages for every artisan in our Jingdezhen atelier.
